Hey everybody! I'm Chip with the Apartment Association of Greater Orlando and I serve as their Chief Executive Officer and I'm here today to talk you about the art of "no."
As a new leader, one of the easiest traps to get caught in is saying yes to everything you're presented with. Every new idea, every new concept, new project. And it's really easy to get in over your head. So being more strategic about your yeses, and being able to say the word no, you'll find its not only going to be empowering for you and a very liberating word, but its also going to be really important to your people and they'll realize that your looking out for them as much as much you are looking out for the organization.
So don't be afraid to use the word "no." Just make sure you do it with finesse. This is Chip and this has been an AAGO minute.
